- Candidate must be a bona fide resident of the concerned district where admission is sought.
- Must be studying Class VIII during Academic Session 2026-27 in a Government/Government-recognized school of the same district where the JNV is located.
- Date of Birth must be between 01 May 2012 and 31 July 2014 (both dates inclusive).
- Only Indian Nationals studying Class VIII in India are eligible.
- Candidates who have already passed Class VIII in an earlier academic session are not eligible.
